I am in love. This is not your standard romantic drama or rom-com. Rather, this is the story of two pairs of best friends (two girls and two guys) in high school. Each friend has been navigating the harsh realities of teenage life, such as failing to blend in with peers and social (double-)standards. It is so refreshing to see the real problems of creating/maintaining a social life in high school and to get perspectives from both genders, especially since they all make new discoveries about the opposite sex.

Also, romance does not get in the way of friendships but takes the backseat. The rule of friendship here is sisters-before-misters and bros-before-hoes. However, this rule definitely causes some misunderstandings! I love that the writing has each character show their own flaws and insecurities, while also show-casing real character growth.

Not to mention that the artwork is superb and very lovely. This story is a real gem, and anyone who gets a chance to see it (and read a translation) will not be disappointed!
